Project Description

This Garenne wash house dates from the early 19th century. The washerwomen worked on the ground floor and the tanners on the first.

It is now used by Vannes city council’s heritage department and is a perfect example of a successfully restored building, which is always the result of a healthy mix of skilled workmanship and high-potential materials.

 

Applications
  • The stonework was pointed using Tradical® PF 80 lime
  • The render for the half-timbering was made with Tradical® PF 80 lime
  • The limewash was made with Tradical® H 98
