Project Description

This building juts out into the sea and is constantly exposed to sea spray, which is an important factor to consider for renovation work. Tradical® enabled the mortars and renders to be safely restored by formulating them on site. This ensured they would resist the effects of sea salt and also guaranteed that the original textures of renders were reproduced thanks to work carried out on aggregate types.

Type of work carried out
  • Stonework was rebuilt using different types of methods
  • All repairs were made using Tradical® PF 55
  • Pointing was redone using a mix of Tradical® 70, Tradical® PF80 and three different types of sand
  • Mortars formulated with crushed brick were used for the ramparts that plunge into the sea
